Chatbots will be chatter boxes!
Following directly on from the A.I trend, Chatbots are a manifestation of A.I that has taken the business marketing world by storm. Uber are one example of a company that uses Chatbots extensively and banks and the health care industry are also massive users. It is predicted in fact that so great is the expected user growth in 2019 that by 2020 80% of S.M Marketing savvy businesses will be using Chatbots!
For the uninitiated Chatbots are automated chat services which essentially replace human call centers. It is said that a lot of people prefer talking to chatbots as they are more prompt and responsive, more accurately recall information and are obviously far more patient!
Influencers will be even more influential
For the uninitiated, ‘Influencers’ are those prolific bloggers, journalists or celebrities, usually with a cause, who have such a great following on social media that businesses use them to piggy back on, both to gain attention and to enhance their reputations.
This has been a popular brand building method for many years but it is predicted will be even bigger in 2019. This is simply because people are more trusting of the ‘Word of mouth’ testimonies that come from people they respect, or at least seem to know what they are talking about.
Programmatic advertising for more effective reach
Another manifestation of Artificial Intelligence is Programmatic advertising, which we have mentioned before in previous articles, but 2019 will see it become an even bigger force to be reckoned with when it comes to more effective Digital advertising. So much so that ‘eMarketer’ says “Almost 90% of digital display ads in the U.S. will be programmatic by 2020!”
It is essentially automated Ad buying, but this is one area where we strongly advise that you consult with experts in the Digital marketing space to maximize your campaign’s efficacy.
