How to get better business on Instagram? Instagram has grown in such a rapid and spectacular way as a Social Media Marketing platform that we experts in his field can’t ignore it and have created this short series of articles to advise our clients on how they may be able to best benefit from it.
Let’s face it as the third largest platform currently, anyone building a brand needs to see this as an important place to be marketing and if we are to maximize the financial benefits we need to maximize our reach there.
So essentially through improving your reach, these are 10 great ways to make Instagram pay! … 1. Make your posts especially for Instagram – The best way to create content that will work best for you is to create content specifically for Instagram. Being a mostly visual platform, posts on Instagram should understandably be more focused on photos or video than on text.
2. Post at the best times – If you are posting at the times that your market are most likely to be engaging with you, this can prompt the Instagram algorithm to push your posts higher on your followers’ feed. You can get advice on this from your Social Media Marketing experts.
3. Do less, but better quality posting – Instead of publishing 20 posts a week, use the same resources and time for just one or two posts and make them great. When explaining social media algorithms, Michael Stelzner encouraged marketers to re-think their posting strategy by posting better quality and less volume and Sue B. Zimmerman also gave this advice to those who want to overcome the Instagram algorithm.
4. Make more videos – The good news is that video lengths will increase to up to 60 min soon. While photos, on average, get more likes than videos, videos apparently generate more comments! In fact, as the stats show – twice as much!
5. Use live videos on Stories – Still on the subject of creating those videos, the Instagram experts say when you use live video, you will appear right at the front of the Stories feed, if no one else is live at the same time. Seeing your logo at the top of their feed is a great way to get your followers to check out your Instagram profile!
6. Host competitions or ask questions to encourage engagement – Giveaway competitions generate more comment than normal posts, so use this, but try to give it a few months in between each one to keep things fun and exciting. Also ask questions of your target market – “what turns them on?” …and questions relevant to your products.
7. Hook up with user-generated content – Apart from organic reach, ‘Crowdtap’ found that user-generated content is “35 percent more memorable and 50 percent more trusted than traditional media and other non-user-generated content.” This makes hooking up with user-generated content a valuable strategy!
8. Tell Instagram Stories – On the Instagram app — above the feed you’ll find Instagram ‘stories.’ Tell your stories as it allows you to stay on top of your followers’ feed and grab more attention. If your followers are checking out your stories all the time, your Instagram posts will probably rank higher on their feeds.
9. Use Instagram ads the right way – By selecting the right target audience when you boost an existing post you can get more engagement on the post and again have a better ranking on your feed.
10. Get advice from professionals – Selecting the right target audience, posting the right things and knowing how and where to advertise, are all areas of expertise of good Digital and Social Media Marketing experts. Your best way to maximize your returns in any social media platform is to engage with these professionals!
